Abbey Crouch, another model pregnancy

Pregnant models do my head in.  They continue to look incredible during and after their pregnancies.  Here is Abbey Couch, former Britain's Top Model contestant, during her pregnancy.  There is nothing that I don't love about this picture.  Her hair, although a little messy, looks chic.  Her boots are made for her thin legs, and that little bump looks perfect in the large striped top.  I don't think that this look will translate well for a non-model, 5 foot person eh?

Warning, the next photo may make you feel a little queasy.  It's Abbey holding her baby on holidays.  And yes and I'm jealous.

Hilary Duff's bump emerges

Hilary Duff spent a lot of hard hours at the gym before getting married last year to produce quite a banging body.  The results are still showing, despite some pretty awful styling.  Here's Hilary out in LA this week dressed in a grey maxi skirt, white shirt and some killer heels.  I still don't understand how celebs can walk around while pregnant (well anytime, really) in such heels.  Pretty strange comment coming from the just 5 foot blogger here.  Heels were designed for someone like me, but nah, I like my flats.

Anyway, I'm digressing.  Hilary's donned the outfit with some sort of crocheted hat and very messy bed hair.  Overall, I don't like it.

Unflattering camera angles can add 50 pounds - here's the proof!

Alex Gerrard is around 7 months pregnant and exclaimed that she 'feels huge' with her third pregnancy.  When I saw the photo above, I kinda had to agree.  Her boobs looked wide and the angle was just so unflattering on her stomach.

So you can imagine my surprise when I looked at the next couple of pics of her.  Aside from a smallish baby bump, this girl has a rocking body!  Maybe I should be reading a blog on how to work the angles to get a flattering photo.  I look like a small beached whale on all our holiday flicks.

Jennifer Garner makes me feel enormous

Jennifer Garner, promoting the film Butter in Toronto, looking soft and shimmery.  When I read today that she is six months pregnant, it made me feel like there was an elephant in the room, me.  My stomach at (nearly) four months is almost as big as Jen's is now.  The only thing that makes me feel a little better about all of this is that I am very short so there's not as much room for a baby to grow....right?

Can short people ever look good pregnant?

Beyonce vamps up her pregnancy

Beyonce showed off her baby bump in a black cut out dress at the Tory Burch Madison Avenue Flagship store opening. 

I personally don't like this at all.   I wouldn't like it on a non-pregnant person either.  The cut of the dress emphasizes her hips and upper thighs - a part of my body that I don't like to draw attention to.  Maybe that's why I'm not in love with it?

Do you agree?  Or is the fashion disaster in me showing itself?

Jessica Alba dressed in grey sweatpants and flat shoes went shopping with her mom in Beverly Hills.

Jessica kept her look simple with her hair pulled back and kept tidy with a black headband.

Not super trendy, this is the kind of look I'd expect for someone that is only a few weeks from delivery.  Jessica looks makeup free as well - her skin looks flawless.

Jennifer Garner does it for charity

 Jennifer Garner in a gorgeous red frock, hiding her bump,  at the 2011 Pink Party charity event in Hollywood.  Jen's hair and makeup is very low key for this event.  Although I really like Jen's simple style, I think she could have had a little more glamorous styling to match the dress and shoes (which are fab).

Jessica Alba stunning on date night

Okay, so technically this was not date night, but actually a 'star studded wedding in Beverly Hills'.  Phew!  Jessica's glammed up, exquisite look would put a lot of pressure on future date nights!

Along with Nicole Richie and Rachel Zoe, Jessica attended the wedding of Katherine Power (an apparent fashion pro - I'm the fashion dummy so I'm clueless here) and photographer Justin Coit back in June 2011.

Jessica looked almost perfect in a blue print dress (love the detail in the hem), white throw and fabulous gold heels.  The only let down for me was her enormous pregnancy boobs looked a little squashed in some of the pics.  Minor point in an otherwise perfect look.

Jennifer Garner, less casual, more girly

 The gorgeous Jennifer Garner out and about in LA yesterday with her daughter Seraphina.

Jen wore a floral dress with blue cardi and slip ons.  Her bump is becoming more pronounced when compared to just a couple of days ago.

Selma Blair - 18 days overdue and counting

Selma Blair's pregnancy went for something like 43 weeks, instead of the usual 40 weeks.  Here she is right before giving birth - looking absolutely amazing!

Selma looked radiant and stylist throughout her pregnancy - I have plenty of photos that I'll share as soon as I can.

Beyonce shows off her bump in frilly number

I'm sure that you've all seen these photos of expectant mum Beyonce.

In all honesty, these pics make me feel somewhat ashamed of my own body.  See, I think that I'm due around the same time as Beyonce and my stomach looks nothing like that.  You can definitely tell that she had a strong, muscular, fit physique before falling pregnant.  She is showing a baby bump but there is no excess (ie fat) padding, unlike my own bump.

Can't say that I'm loving the frilly bikini though.  I especially don't like the pants.  With a body like that she could still be rocking a string bikini and look great.  I'll just be sticking to the one pieces from now to eternity.

Jennifer Garner casual in stripes

Jennifer Garner was out and about today in Santa Monica dressed in her usual casual style.

She looks trim, fit and healthy - just has the beginning bulge of a small baby bump.

Natalie Portman in stripes

I wish that I could rock skinny jeans when I'm not pregnant! Here is Natalie Portman showing off her casual style in black skinny jeans and a striped shirt that shows off that bump.

Teamed with sneakers and hair off her face, it's not a bad look. Not liking the bag she's carrying though - looks like a school library bag (please don't tell me it's worth $3000).

Not sure where this photo was taken but on a side note, the background stairs remind me of SATC.

Jennifer Garner is casual yet chic

Since having kids, Jennifer Garner has perfected that 'soccer mum' look - jeans and sneakers. So it's no real surprise to see her dressed this way after announcing that she is pregnant for a third time.

I have nothing against this look - it's probably most like my own. Except I'm not that skinny. Or that pretty. But ya get my point, right?

Anyway, here she is looking casual as always. Not sure how far along she is - her and Ben have not revealed the due date. She looks maybe 4 or 5 months to me (Hollywood months that is. For me, that's probably only 7 weeks cooked).

How far along do you think Jen is here?

Jessica Alba is radiant in blue at BAFTAs

Jessica Alba looks incredible in this Atelier Versace gown for the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) 2011 in London on 13 February 2011.  This was prior to her announcing her on 17 February 2011. 

Her makeup and accessories are impeccable. I love the way her necklace draws attention away from her chest (if only for a short second) and the little clutch is perfect.

Not sold on the hair styling though. Her hair needed to be off her shoulders to accentuate the beautiful bustline of her dress but I think that the plaiting looks a little dated and severe?

Have I got it all wrong? What do you think of her hairstyle?

Jessica Alba does slouchy maternity wear

Jessica, Jessica, Jessica. What were you thinking? This matchy, matchy maxi and cardi completely takes over your body and looks a little messy.

It's hard to think that she got it so wrong when she has gotten it so right, so many times. Might have looked a little better if the maxi dress was a different colour? Maybe black would have been better? I just think that this takes loungewear to a whole new (worse) level.

On a positive note, I do love the delicate necklace she is wearing.
