Kristen Bell does her bit for Habitat for Humanity

Frozen voice actress, Kristen Bell, helped out the charity Habitat for Humanity on Saturday.  Kristen wore the red Habitat for Humanity team tshirt paired with a skinny jeans and and trainers.

This is Kristen's second pregnancy.  She has a daughter Lincoln Bell Shepard who is 18 months old.

Aussie model Erin McNaught and her tiny body, tiny bump

Aussie model, Erin McNaught, is almost in her third trimester.....can you believe it?!  Aside from a perfectly neat bump, Erin has maintained a trim and toned body during her pregnancy.  Photographed at Who's Sexiest People party recently, Erin wore a navy body-con mini dress with nude platform shoes.

Liv Tyler, pregnant and no sign of a bump

Liv Tyler recently announced her pregnancy to her boyfriend of five months, Dave Gardner.  Looking at these photographs taken this week, there are no visible signs of a bump - just a slight thickening of her waistline.  Liv is tall and thin and she will probably carry this pregnancy very well and look amazing 10 minutes after the birth.

Liv wore all black - a warm coat for the chilly New York weather, tall leather boots, a black handbag and black sunglasses.

Kristen Bell filming House of Lies in her third trimester

Photographed walking around a park in Los Angeles recently, Kristen looked happy and relaxed in a black mini body-con dress.  Keeping her feet happy, she wore a pair of nike trainers.  Kristen's hair looks so healthy - those pregnancy hormones are doing wonders for her hair and skin!

Kristen wore some pretty cute combinations in her first pregnancy.  She showed us how to wear non-maternity clothes in the third trimester, her naked bump (I loved her for this) and she rocked it on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Blake Lively is like a ray of sunshine

Making pregnancy look effortless, Blake Lively was photographed recently at the Angel Ball in Manhattan with her husband Ryan Reynolds.  Looking amazing, as always, Blake wore a sunshine yellow long-sleeved dress which showed off her bump and her amazing figure.

The pregnant female form is so beautiful and her dress highlights that perfectly.  While some people are commenting that this dress is too revealing, my question to them is why should she hide her body under some shapeless dress?  Rather than subscribe to the view that pregnant women should wear baggy, non-revealing potato sack dresses, we should embrace that fact that we have a choice as to what we want to wear.   We should support that.  There is no shame in pregnancy.

Blake Lively. Amazing legs. Amazing poncho.

Blake Lively showed off her flawless legs while photographed in Soho recently.  Wearing a bohemian patterned poncho, Blake managed to draw attention away from her bump.  The poncho reminds me of Jena Dewan-Tatum's pregnancy with an oversized sweater to keep her warm.

Blake's makeup is very simple and her long blonde hair was kept loose and flowing.  She looks gorgeous.

Almost there! Rachel Bilson in maxi dress in third trimester

I found the third trimester of pregnancy to be a hard sell.  The swollen ankles and hands, the complete inability to find a comfortable sleeping position and for me, being due at the very end of a long, hot summer, the fact that I was always hot.  That's feeling hot, obviously.

So when I look at these recent photographs of Rachel Bilson, I have a bit of an 'ah ha' moment.  She looks completely comfortable and cool, even at the end of her pregnancy.  Why?  It's a big thank you to the maxi dress.  Rachel Bilson is not very tall and sometimes a maxi dress on shorter women can make you look frumpy and larger than you are.  The trick is usually to add a belt either above or below the bump to add some definition.

Rachel's dress by Cynthia Vincent is a little different and it really suits her body shape and height.  It isn't a maternity dress, so it is also a great choice if you are looking for a gorgeous maxi dress.

The cut of the dress

The cut of the maxi dress is longer at the back than it is at the front.  This creates height.  This is called a 'high low' dress.

Layering

There is also a layering effect - the two layers at the bottom of the dress along with the along with decorative layers make the dress appear lighter because there is less material draping around her feet.

There is also a layer closer to the body that falls about mid-thigh length.

Colour

White is the perfect colour for this dress - it looks cool and classic.
